On Oct. 18-19, 2008, thirty-two filmmakers and students gathered at the Neighborhood House Community Center in Madison for classes on producing low-cost features, sound design and creating YouTube videos. Instructors
Kelley Baker and Dave Hill dished out practical and encouraging advice.
Students made a powerful
YouTube video and left hungry to start, resume and finish projects swirling in their heads. They urged us to build on this community, create a
forum, and hold more workshops. We have also created a
YouTube channel for student projects.
Sony Creative Software of Madison handed out $1,000 in software prizes, including three sets of Vegas editing software and a pair of earphones. Our thanks to Dave Hill and Sony.
